Professor Brij Mohan Agnihotri is someone who is very much against getting married. No amount of pleading has had any effect on him. One fine day, he meets a young man named Rajesh who wishes to make Brij his mentor to which Brij agrees readily. On a visit to his friend out of town, Brij meets his beautiful daughter Punam and falls in love with her. He changes his appearance and attempts to woe Punam but finds that Punam is attracted to his student, Rajesh.
