Loy Mendonsa is a music composer. He is part of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio which consist of himself, Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. Before becoming a music composer, he was a keyboard musician for famous music composers such as A. R. Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. His daughter, Alyssa Mendonsa, recently made her singing debut with the hit track Uff Teri Adaa from the movie Karthik Calling Karthik. Loy played the keyboard for composers like A.R.Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. The trio has won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction (2004) as well as Filmfare Best Music Direction Award for Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) and Filmfare Best Music Direction award for Bunty Aur Babli (2005).
