Shobha Kapoor

Shobha Kapoor is an Indian television and film producer. She is the CEO of Balaji Telefilms, a famous TV serial production house in Mumbai, India. She is married to Bollywood actor Jeetendra.Shobha Kapoor does the overall administrative and production activities of Balaji Telefilms. She works side by side with her daughter, Ekta Kapoor. She has produced many Hindi soap operas. Her most famous television serial has been “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”, which started on Star plus TV channel, India’s prime media and Entertainment Company, in 2000. Most of her soap operas have a woman as the leading character. Kapoor has also produced some Bollywood films but, because she is terribly media shy and prefers to work in the background, most people don’t know of her business talent.
