He got an opportunity to work with the legendary Dilip Kumar in his last outing on celluloid, Qila. Though he played the hard-core cop, nothing much happened and he remained stuck whenever he was. Many more of his films came and went without a whimper. Having started from the small screen, he switched to the television again. There was his Mere Do Anmol Ratan with Arshad Warsi and newcomer Namrata Shirodkar which bombed miserably. Then another of his film Iski Topi Uske Sar joined the list of his flops.
