Naseeruddin Shah is an Indian film actor and director. He is considered to be one of the finest actors of Indian cinema. In 2003, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions towards Indian cinema.

Shah has acted in movies such as Nishant, Aakrosh, Sparsh, Mirch Masala, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai, Trikal, Bhavni Bhavai, Junoon, Mandi, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho!, Ardh Satya, Katha, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, etc.He has acted in several multi-starrer Bollywood films as well, such as, Ghulami (1985), Tridev (1989) and Vishwatma (1992).Later, he starred in international projects such as Monsoon Wedding in 2001 and a Hollywood comic book adaptation The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 2003 (co-starring Sean Connery) where he played the role of Captain Nemo. His performance in Sarfarosh (1999) was widely acclaimed. He played the villain with dual identity of a Ghazal singer and Pakistani spy who supports terrorism in India.

He is married to Bollywood actress Ratna Pathak Shah. They have a daughter, Heebaa, and two sons, Imaad and Vivaan. They have co-starred in the films like Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Mirch Masala and The Perfect Murder.Heeba Shah is Mr. Shah's daughter from the earlier marriage. She is not the daughter of Ratna Pathak Shah. Naseeruddin Shah married Ratna Pathak after the demise of Heeba Shah's mother.

    When it comes to Naseeruddin Shah, actors like Amitabh Bachnan couldn’t be compared to him, only match to him are likes of Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal etc. I see nobody has ever written a review on him, but i see a lot of reviews on shahrukh khan.
    Naseerudin Shah had success in main bollywood movies and in art movie as well. Naseruddin shah had wanted to act from his childhood , he graduated from the national school for drama in 1973 and enrolled in the film and television institute of inda in 1973. His first film was called nishant an art film which had amrish puri, samita patil and Shabana Azmi and the movie was directed by Shyam Benegal the guy who directed the movie zubeida with karishma kapoor in it.
