SYLVESTER STALLONE has established worldwide recognition as an actor, writer, producer and director since he played the title role in his own screenplay of "Rocky" which won the Academy Award in 1976 for Best Picture. A candid Stallone has admitted in interviews that his dissatisfaction with Rocky V inspired him to craft Balboa, so the people's champion -- and the character he's most often associated with -- could exit the ring with his head held high.
